Chairman Daly called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 5:28 p.m. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of $642,845.53 for the period ending February 5, 1993, in accordance with the 1992-93 Budget, were approved. PUBLIC COMMENTS - AGENDA ITEMS: There were no public comments on Redevelopment Agency agenda items. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST: No items of public interest were addressed. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS 1 - 4: On motion by Agency Member Simpson, seconded by Agency Member Pickler, the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda. 1. 152: RESOLUTION NO. ARA93-1: Authorizing the Executive Director to execute change orders on Agency bid projects and public works. (Authorizes Executive Director to execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $10,000 or 10% Of the cumulative total contract award amount with concurrence of the Director of Public Works.) (This item was continued from the meeting of January 26, 1993.) Agency Member Feldhaus. He had previously asked for a continuance on this item (see minutes of February 2, 1993). He is still going to vote against it. Although he has no problem with the Executive Director being authorized to execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $10,000, he feels the Agency should retain control on the 10% of the cumulative total amount of the contract since this could be a large amount; Chairman Daly. He feels the same way. Agency Member Pickler asked to hear from staff. Richard Bruckner, Redevelopment/Economic Development Manager. The intent is to provide the Executive Director some latitude when unforeseen items arise in the course of construction. He feels the $10,000 limit would be satisfactory and allow time to resolve the issue at hand and subsequently come back to the Agency for additional Authority if necessary. At the conclusion of the Consent Calendar, Items 1 through 4 were approved, except Item 1 was amended authorizing the Executive Director to execute change orders not to exceed $10,000 only and not 10% of the cumulative total which is reserved for a decision by the Agency. 93-7 Anaheim Civic Center, ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FEBRUARY 9t 1993t 5:00 P.M.
