NEW ITEM: Council Member Ehrle. Last week, the Council discussed in a public hearing modification/termination of an establishment on Brookhurst Street (Barbary Coast). After the hearing, some of the residents asked if he would look into the possibility of having that area (Broadway to Ball Road on Brookhurst Street, both sides) designated as a redevelopment area. It is an approximate one-mile strip and it is strictly a commercial area. Any residential is to be excluded. He is merely relaying this request to the Executive Director of Community Development to determine whether this could be done and come back to the Council/Agency reporting whether or not it is possible or feasible. Lisa Stipkovich, Executive Director of Community Development. They are always looking at new areas in terms of potential study areas. That area has been brought to staff's attention by the Planning Commission and very recently the area was toured by the Planning Commission and the Redevelopment Commission and discussed as a potential redevelopment project area. Staff will be looking further into the matter and studying it in the future and will report back to both the Planning Commission, Redevelopment Commission and Council with a recommendation. 92-10 Anaheim Civic Center, ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY February 11, 1992, 5:00 P.M.
