AUTHORITY 'fO EXECUTE ~ ORDERS ON PUBliC WORES

WHEREAS, charge orders to ~ or decrease the Agency's cost
of a public work are frequ~y necessary and desirable; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the authority to
approve change orders be delegated to the Executive Director of the Agency
with the concurrence of the City Engineer/D~r of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for administrative purposes to consider
the four cc~ponents of the Koll Anaheim Center, I~a_~e I Pr~j~
("Project") as four "projects," specifically (i) the City Building
Project; (ii) the City Building Parking Structure; (iii) the public
parking structure for use by Pacific Bell; (iv) Site Improv~t
Work/Utilities Development Project; and
W~EREAS, future cc~ponents of the projects which cGmprise the
Koll Anaheim Center Project will be required to impl~ subseq~lent
phases of the Koll Anaheim Center Master Plan, and similar ~nent
projects will require this same process to effectively implement th~
Project and such change order authorizations shall also apply.
NC~ THEREFORE, THE ANAHEIM REDEVELO~ AGEN~ does resolve as
follows:
1. ~ne Executive Director of the Agency and with the concurrence
of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby authorized to
approve in writing any change order for each "project" cc~po~ of the
Koll Anaheim Center whenever the total cost of the public work to the
Agency of all change orders cumulatively does not exceed the greater of
(i) ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or (ii) ten percent (10%) of the
cumttlative total for the t/-ade contracts which cc~prise the subject
project component. As to the City Buildirg Project, the additional
conc~/T~oe of the Public Utilities General Manager is neoessary to
process such authorized change orders.
