A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING AND SUBMITTING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM THE REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL ON THE
PROPOSED FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR
THE RIVER VALLEY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT; AND
RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF SAID FIRST AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") is
engaged in activities necessary to carry out and implement the
Redevelopment Plan for the River Valley Redevelopment Project;
and
WHEREAS, the Agency and the Community Redevelopment
Commission of the City of Anaheim have prepared a First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for the River Valley
Redevelopment Project pursuant to which the land use
designation of that certain real property depicted on the
cross-hatched area on the Map attached and hereby incorporated
as Attachment No. 1 (the "subject area") would be changed from
General Industrial and Open Space to an alternative land use
designation providing for General Commercial as an alternative
land use;
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency pursuant to the
California Community Redevelopment Law has prepared a Report to
City Council on the proposed First Amendment to the River
Valley Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Agency and the Community Redevelopment
Commission of the City' of Anaheim have approved and recommended
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim Subsequent EIR
No. 289 in accordance with and pursuant to the California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA) and State and local
regulations and guidelines adopted pursuant thereto and
environmental documentation assesses the environmental impacts
of the change in land use from General Industrial and Open
Space to an alternative land use designation providing for
General Commercial as an alternative land use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelopment
Agency as follows:
1. The Report to City Council on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for the River Valley
Redevelopment Project is in conformity with the California
Redevelopment Law and is hereby approved and shall be forthwith
submitted to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
2. The Anaheim Redevelopment Agency hereby approves, in
all respects, the First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for
the River Valley Redevelopment Project, and the Agency hereby
recommends to %he City Council that the Council approve and
adopt said proposed First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan
for the River Valley Redevelopment Project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed ~by me this
