Sohl ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Lisa Stipkovich A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority was posted at 3:00 p.m. on September 18, 1987 at the Civic Center kiosk, containing all items as shown herein. Chairman Bay called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority to order at 5:52 p.m. MINUTES: Authority Member Kaywood moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held July 21, 1987 and August 25, 1987. Authority Member Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount of $1,712.43 and $24,500 in public Housing Authority Bonds, in accordance with the 1987-88 Budget, were approved. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: On motion by Authority Member Bay, seconded by Authority Member Pickler, the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Authority Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda: 1. 177.174: Authorizing the submission of a Comprehensive Homeless Assistance Plan (CHAP), to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to qualify for funds under said program. 2. 177.123: Authorizing an agreement with Graphic Directions, in an amount not to exceed $33,400, to produce an Annual Report for 1986, and four newsletters and/or educational brochures. End of Consent Calendar Items. 177.123: EMERGENCY S~ELTER PROCRAM CRANT AWARD NOTIPICATION: That the Housing Authority (1) determine if they choose to accept the Emergency Shelter Program Grant award to the Housing Authority in the amount of $203,406: and if so, (2) award these funds to Anaheim Interfaith Shelter, Inc. to establish a Shelter for the homeless in the City, as recommended in staff report dated September 15, 1987 from the Community Development Department. chairman Bay. He asked if this predetermines that the use is already approved or if a conditional use permit or hearings are required. City Attorney White. It has been determined that the use of the property meets current zoning requirements and will not need a conditional use permit. 87-52 230 Anaheim Civic Center~ ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY September 22, 1987, 1:25 P.M. 177.123: EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM GRANT AWARD: Authority Member Ehrle moved to accept the Emergency Shelter Program Grant award in the amount of $203,406 to establish an emergency shelter. Authority Member Pickler seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION: Authority Member Kaywood moved to award said funds to Anaheim Interfaith Shelter, Inc., for acquisition of a ten-unit apartment building located at 626 North Paulina Street to provide a shelter for homeless families, contingent upon execution of an agreement between Anaheim Interfaith Shelter Inc. and the Housing Authority, and directing staff to prepare the agreement. Authority Member Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST: No items of public interest were addressed. ADJOURNMENT: Authority Member Pickler moved to adjourn.
