Cushman, Superintendent, Shop and Garage who commented as to the bid requirements. Discussion followed~ and Councilman Heying moved that the bids be held over for further consideration. Councilman Van %Vagoner seconded the motion. ~O/ION CARRIED. RESIGNATION: L. P. Bonnat submitted his resignation as of August 1, 1953 and expressed his appreciation and thanks to the Council for the consideration given him the past five years. Mr. Bonnat was employed as City 3udge from February 3, 1948 to 3anuary 1~ 1953 and was assigned other duties up to this time. Councilman Heyin9 moved that a Resolution commending Mr. Bonnat for services rendered and acceptance of his resignation~ ~rith regrets, be prepared. RES. 4, 1953-54: Pursuant to two public hearings held June 15 and July 20 recommended the denial of said reclassification for the following reasons: 1. Property owners in the area are opposed to the erection of a Service S~ation. 2. There are sufficient Service Stations on Center St. at the present time. 3. The Commission is against further shoe-stringing of business along Center Street at this time.
