PRESENT: COUNCILMEN: Fry~ $chutte~ Wisher and Van Wagoner. ABSENT : COUNCIL~: Pearson, CITY ATTORNEY, PRESTON TURNER: Present. ~ CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, KEITH A. N~J~DCEH: Present. Due to the absence of Mayor Pearson, the City Clerk called the meeting to order and declared nominations were a[aned for the eleC%ion.df a Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Anaheim. ~! Councilman Wisser nominated CoUncilman Van Wagoner and moved the nominations closed. Councilman Fry seconded the motion. ND/ION.CARRIED'... Councilman Van Wagoner was unanimously elected Mayor Pro Tem 'for'the City of Anaheim. ~ :~ DISNEYLAND ANNEXATION: Four petitions~ ¢ within the area known and designated as ~ mitred. The City Clerk stated there we~ the territory proposed for annexation, ar CERTIFICATE WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of Jul Anaheim, did receive petitions signed by presents more than one-fourth (¼) of the territory proposed for annexation, to be ANNEXATION, as shown by the Orange Count~ ontaining 41 names of residents residing i~oposed Disneyland Annexation, were sub-  approximately 73 registered voters within further certified: ;SUFFICIENCY y, 1954, the City Council of the City of iforty-one (41) residents, which number re- !qualified electors residing within the known and designated as the DISNEYLAND !Registration of Voters, and I FURTHER CERTIFY, that said pgtitions were circulated more than twenty- one (21) days after publication of Notice. of Intention to circulate such petitions, and I FURTHER CERTIFY that at the ~ime of filing and presentation of said petitions, said new territory proposed td be annexed to the City of Anaheim did not form a part of any other city or municipal corporation and that said territory Was, at the time of filing said petition~, inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim. The City Council authorized the transfer of $500.00 from the contingency portion of the budget to advertising a~d promotion. TRACT NO. 1875: Iract No. 187~ was approved as of July 23, 1954, on motion by Council- man Wissert seconded by Councilman Schutte. MOTION CARRIED.
