CONTRACT (WORK ORDER 2261): The Director of Public Utl1lties, George Fo Oelkers, recommended a Change Order be authorized, and that the transformers for the new 11-4 KV Substation be built so that a forced-air cooling system can be installed that would increase the capacIty of the electrical substation facilities approximately 25%~ To build the transformers so that the cooling system can be installed when electrical demands require it would cost a maximum of $3,9790000 Councilman Coons moved that the City Council authorize a Change Order in a maximum amount of $3,979000, as recommended by the Director of Public Utilities, to the contract with the Bechtel Corporation entered into pursuant to Resolution Noo 3505 for the construction of a 11-4 KV Substation (W.O. 2261) to build the transformers so that a forced-air cooling system can be lnstalled when requtredo Councilman Wisser seconded the motion. The Mayor Pro Tern declared the foregoing Ordinance duly passed and ,--- adoptedo TRACT NOo 1647 - EXTENSION TO IMPROVEMENT BONDS: Communication from the Florde Developers, Inc. (Manley-Kuhns), dated November 29, 1956, requesting a six months extension of time to the Improvement Bond was submitted and read. (It was noted that the Pacific Employers Insurance Company, per Bert Delmas, Vice President, had approved extension of said bonds to May 15, 1957.) Since there is no activity on the property, the City Council granted the six months extension to the bonds as requested, on motion by Councilman Schutte, seconded by Counei lman Coon.s. MOTION CARRIED. CITY'S LEGAL ADVERTISING: The Administrative Officer and City Clerk reported that all legals published outside of the City are published at least twice (annexations) and at that point the two bids received were identical. However, on publications that are required to be published more than two times, the Placentia Courier was the low bidder. They thereupon recommended the award of the contract be made to the low bidder. Councilman Schutte moved that the contract be awarded to the Placentia Courier for publications of legal notices required to be published by the City in a newspaper outside the Cityo Councilman Fry seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIEDe Councilman Schutte moved that the contract be awarded to the Anaheim Bulletin on all publications required to be published and printed within the City. REQUEST TO DE~ANNEX FROM THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: Communication dated November 19, 1956 from the Louis Lesser Enterprises, Ltd., was submitted and read requesting consent, pursuant to Section 35304 (a) of the Government Code, to detach from the City of Anaheim those portions of their property lying within a proposed Burton Street Annexation to the City of Fullerton. Councilman Coons moved that the request be received and referred to the Administrative Officer and City Engineer for further checking and report.
