The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held December 26, 1951 were ordered approved on motion b:-r Councilman Van Wagoner, seconded by Councilman Wisser. MOTION CARRIED. Councilman Van Wagoner reported demands against the city amounting to $3L~3,46l.96, of which $200,000.00 is a transfer from an inactive to active commercial account. Councilman Boney moved that report of Finance Committee be accepted and that warrants be drawn upon the Treasurer to pay said demands in accordance with report. Councilman Wisser seconded the motion. A. ,j" - Financial and Operative Reports for the month of December and Annual Reports for the year 1951 were ordered accepted and filed on motion by Councilman Van Wagoner, seconded by Councilman Wisser. MOTION CARRIED. CITY TREASURER: Balance in General Fund, $173,465.30, total General Accounts, $337,179.64 total all fun4s, $984,803.85. PUBLIC SERVICE: Deposited, $80,195.77 of which $7,176.75 was Sanitation and $4,375.21 was Industrial Waste. LI:;EHSE COLLECTOR: Collection for December, $341.60 on Business, and Dog Licenses. Total collections from July 1 to December 31, 1951, $9,052.60 of which $515.75 were Dog Licenses. CITY CLERK: De~osited $314.00, Filing Fees and Vital Statistics. LIBRARY BALANCE: $790.81, Decem-ber 31, 1951. CITY JUDGE: 412 cases of which 259 were parking meter violations and $3,207.00 collected in fines of wrli~h 336.00 were parking meter fines. Councilman Van Wagoner moved that the foregoing Certificate of Approval of action of the Boundary Oommission of Ora#ge County be received and filed. Councilman Wisser seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. !*"""""" MINUTES, SPECIAL MEETING t ENGINEERING COMI~lITTEE January 8, 1952 A Special Meeting of the Engineering Committee was held on the above date at 2:00 olclock P.M. Those present were O. C. Bonebreak, J. R. Lester Boyle, Sid Lowery, W. W. Hoy, George Holyoke, Grover L. Walters and Nat Neff. George Holyoke, Chairman, stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider the request of V.C.K. Construction Company contained in their letter of December 14, 1951 with reference to their request for use of excess crushed rock in Unit No.1. After a thorough discussion by all parties in attendance, it was moved by J. R. Lester Boyle, seconded by Sid Lowery, that inasmuch as the original estimate for said rock as prepared by the Chief Engineer and his staff appears to be well supported by daily inspection reports and other data, that it is the recommendation of the Engineering Committee of the J.O.S. that the City Council of the City of Anaheim consider the Chief Engineer's estimate to be correct and final. Construction Company, dated December 31, 1951 was submitted and read and copies were forwarded the City Engineer, City Attorney and Chief Engineer of the Magnolia Trunk Sewer. The City Council moved to approve, ratify and confirm the decision of the Chief Engineer, Nat H. Neff and ratification of his acticns b~ the Engineering Committee as shown in report of the Engineering Committee noted above, on motion by Councilman Boney, seconded by Councilman Heying. S EI':iFTC~-EES: STATE El.:~:LOYEES 1 PETIRE!':;ENT: The matter of the Joint Outfall Sewer employees participation in the State Employees' Retirement System was brought up and Councilman Boney advised the Council that the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer would take some action in the very near future. LOCATION: Near the southwest corner of Burton & West Sts. and will contain seven lots. a~prox. 3/4 acre each. Acceptance of the Tentative Map was held over awaiting further particulars in regard to the tract on motion by Councilman Van Wagoner, seconded by Councilman Wisser. This property being a portion of Lot 11, Anaheim Extension and zoned R-A, Residential-Agricultural. The Action taken by the City Planning Commission was presented and the Appeal from Action taken by the City Planning Commission signed by Mrs. Paul Williamson 1941 East Center Street, was accepted by the City Council and Public Hearing ordered held, Tuesday, January 22, 1952 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. and that the property be posted and notices of publication of public hearing forwarded to residents in the district in addition to publication of said notices for Public Hearing on motion by Councilman Heying, seconded by Councilman Boney. This hearing is supplemental to hearings on said proposed changes held by the City Planning Commission. Proposed change of zone to cover the following described property: MORALES ANNEXATION. now in R-l, Single Family Residential Zone, the area between the north side of Romneya Drive and a distance of )49.04 feet along South Spadra Road and a distance of 700.12 feet ~long North Lemon Street with a straight line conn connecting these two points. It is proposed that the east side of South Spadra Road for a depth of 150 feet be zoned as C-2, General Commercial Zone, and the balance of the property be zoned as -M-l, Light Manufacturing Zone. There being no protests entered at the Hearing and none being received, the Mayor declared the Hearing closed.
