California - COUNCIL MINUTES - December 22, 1959. 7,00 P.Mo VARIANCE NO. 1021: Detailed plans of proposed motel to be known as the Charterhouse, were submitted by Mro Leo Freedman, and compared by the City Council with the original plans filedo It was noted that the plans differed, inasmuch as parking was shown in the 20 foot area designated for landscapingo It was determined by the City Council that this 20 foot landscaping area should be maintained as shown on the original planso ---- I This Variance would have normally expired February 28, 1959, and resulting from reports made on the progress of this development, Councilman Coons moved that it be the finding of the City Council that substantial work was done on this Application prior to February 28, 1959, that the revisions have been made at the request of the City, which has delayed the starting of the projecto Councilman Fry seconded the motiono MOTION CARRIED. Councilman Pearson moved that the plans as presented. be approved, with the exception of the one tier of parking, which is to be a landscaped area as originally agreed too Councilman Coons seconded the motiono MOTION ** CARRIED.
