Mungall, Riutcel, Thompson, Hapgood and Schutte. Letter of intention, dated March 1;, 1952. requesting the consent of the City Council to commenee proceedings for the annexation to the City of Anaheim of property" bordering La Falma Avenu.e, Houston Street and Manchester Avenue was sub- mitted to the Council. Said letter of intention requesting annexation was signed by the following property owners: Mrs. Elven D. Olmstead, Elven D. Olmstead, Mabel Rayburn. Gladys E. Hylton, Eugene w. H.yltoD. Joe B.. May was su'bmi t ted outlining proposed .terri:tory for annexati:on. and a'pproximate width of land. bordering ,streets and highwa.y:s in the annexation so proposed. John Ardaiz addreesedthe..Council and stated that there were approximate17 .50 parcels in the territory proposed for annexation and that the majority of, propert1 owners were favorable and looked forward to convereion of their land to sub-division and industrial uset and that a great deal of mar~inal horticultural and agricultural land would lend itself to annexation. General discussion of the proposed area for annexation was entered into by members of the Ci ty Planning OOmJrlission present at the meeting, the Mayor. Council City Attorney and Administrative Officer. The proximiti' of main trunk line sewers, the proposed Metropolitan Water District Water Line and Water mains no'W partially serving district was brought out as being favorable toward annexation of territory by the Oity of Anaheim. Co'U.ncilman Heying motioned that the letter requesting annexation be re- ceived and placed on file. Councilman Boney seconded :the motion. .MOTI011 CARRIED. Councilman Boney moved that the letter be referred to the City Planning Commission for recommendation and report. Councilman Wisser seconded the motion. MOTION CARB 1.E;D. MOTION CARRIED. Discussion on the Special Use Permit on application of Atlantic Supply Company's for land use permit for building supply store and pipe yard was held.
