A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE!M APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIO$ OF A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
WORKS, D!VISION OF HIGHWAYS, WITH REFERENCE
TO CONSTttUCTION OF OUTSIDE CURBS, GUTTERS
AND DRI~AYS, CONSTRUCTION OF STORM DRAINAGE
FACILITI~S AND THE PREPARATION OF THE MEDIAN
AREA FOR LANDSCAPING ON STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE
07-0RA-3' (BEACH BOULEVARD) BETWEEN THE
SOUTH CITY LIMITS AND THE. NORTH CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the State of California contemplates the
improvement of Sta~e Highway Route 07-0ra,-39 (Beach Boulevard)
between Garden Gr9Ye ~oulevard and Manchester Boulevard in the
County of Orange ~d the City of Anaheim desires to provide for
the betterment of the area along said State Hi~hway, and desires
to construct concrete curb, gutter and cODQllerc1al driveways
along the frontage of several privately owned parcels~ to con-
struct drainage fa~ilities on and adjacent to several privately
owned parcels and to prepare the median area within the city
limits for future landscaping ;.and
WHEREAS, the State of C~lifornia, tbrough its Business
and Transportation Agency, Department of Public Works, Division
of Highways, has submitted to the City a Cooperative Agreement
designated "Distri~t Agre.ement No. 2460," providing for the
improvements and betterment along the aforesaid Stat~ Highway
upon the terms and conditions and for the proportionate share
of the costs therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of the City to enter into
said Cooperative A9reement with the State of California and that
the same shall be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that said "District Agreement No. 2460"
submitted to the City by the State of California, through its
Business and Transportation Agency, Department of Public Works,
Division of Highways, providing for the improvements and better-
ment along Beach Boulevard - between the South City Limits and
the North City Limits of the City of Anaheim upon the terms and
conditions and for the proportionate share of the costs therein
set forth, be, and the same is hereby approved~
BE IT FU~THER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 23rd day of December I. 19 69 .
