A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 2129
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from
ERNST KRAUSE, 1919 Glenwood Lane, New ort Beach, Calif. owner
of certa~n real property s~tuated ~n the City 0 Ana e~m, County
of Orange, State of california, described as follows:
That portion of the northwest quarter of the northwest
quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 27, Township
4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de
Santa Ana, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of said northeast
quarter, East 460.00 feet along said North line from the
northwest corner of said northeast quarter; thence East
150.00 feet along said North line; thence South 265.06
feet parallel with the center line of Harbor Boulevard
to a line parallel with and southerly 265.00 feet from
said North line; thence West 150.00 feet along said
parallel line; thence North 265.06 feet parallel with the
center line of Harbor Boulevard to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
November 3 , 19 69 , notice of which said public hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title
18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. PC 69-220

WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council
did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the
City Planning Commission in granting said variance and did
set a public hearing thereon to be held on the 13th day of
January , 19 70 , at 1.:3<0 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter
18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and

WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
There is no substantial property right possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone and
denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be adequately
developed and used under the present zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission
granting Variance No. 2129 be, and the same is hereby disapproved,
and that the petition for a zoning variance to permit the expansion
of an existing motel, on the property hereinbefore described, with
waiver of Anaheim Municipal Code requirements as to the minimum
number of required off-street parking stalls, be and the same is
hereby denied.
