A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEt'lliNT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE WITH
REFERENCE TO A PROCEDURE FOR EQUITABLY DIS-
'l'RIBU'I'ING 'I'HE MAINTENANCE COSTS FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL AND INTERSECTION LIGHTING INSTALLATIONS.
~1iHEREAS ~ the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
have various traffic signal and intersection lighting installa-
tions that are partially in areas under jurisdiction of the
City and partially under jurisdiction of the County; and
mIEREAS" the City of Anaheim and the County of
Orange are willing to cooperate in the contribution to.the
maintenance costs for said installations and desire to specify
the procedure for equitably distributing the maintenance cost
for said installations.
NOW, THEREFOREr BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered
into between the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange,
providing for a procedure for equitably distributing the
maintenance costs for said traffic signal and intersection
lighting installations based on the actual maintenance and
operational costs incurred at each installation with the
City's share of said cost at each installation being a sum
bearing the same proportion to the total cost of maintenance
as the number of legs of highways under jurisdiction of the
City at the location involved, bears to the total number of
legs of highways a~ such location, the County's share of said
cost at each installation shall be a sum, bearing the same
proportion to the total cost of maintenance, as the number of
legs of highways under jurisdiction of ~le County at the
location involved, bears to the total number of legs of
highways at such location. (Agreement No. 1269-327).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute such agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
