A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COlli~CIL OF THE CITY
OF ill~AHEIM AUTHORIZING THE 11AYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE EETVlliEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND 'I'HE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY AI.~D
A HUTUAL TERMINATION THEHEOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim entered into a lease
between the Souther~ Pacific Company and the City of Anaheim
on the date of March 16, 1960, relating to the parking of
City owned vehicles; and
WrlEREAS, on or about the first day of October, 1968,
a lease was proposed covering a lesser amount of property and
terminating the lease as of March 16, 1960; and
WHEREAS, said lease, being for a term of one year,
expired as of the first day of October 1969, but through
inadvertance and inexcusable delay has not been executed; and
WtiEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company. desires the
execution of said lease as well as the simultaneous mutual
termination thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interest of the City'to complete the paperwork between
itself and the Sou~..ern P~fic Company in connection with
the lease and the t~rmination thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Anaheim that certain lease of property
from the Southern Pacific Company in the in~ediate vicinity
of Olive Street and Ellsworth Avenue in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ~layor and the
City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Anaheim that certain
mutual termination of said lease, which expired on its own
terms on the 30th day of September 1969.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 4th day of November 1969.

ember, 1969.
