WHEREAS, Ti~~e III-B Qf the Older Americans Act of
1965 provides certainlf, unds to, various public agencies for
use on projects beneff-ting senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, cettain Title III-B funds have been allocated
to the County of Oran.~ Senior Citizens Program Office (hereinafter
"Program Office") for;~istribution and sharing with various
other political subditisions within the County; and
WHEREAS, thi'CitY of Anaheim desires to share in
the distribution of s id funds for the purpose of alterations to
the City's existing s *ior citizens' center at 222 East Chartres,
Anaheim, California; 4~d
WHEREAS, th~ City is required to submit an applica-
tion for said funds t~ the Program Office containing certain
assurances by the Cit~.
NOW, THEREFQ,.~, ' BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anahei~hereby:
1. Authorizes t~ filing of an application on behalf
of the City for grant ~ssistance funds pursuant to Title III-B
of the Older AmericanS! Act of 1965;
2. Certifies th$ the City understands and will conform
with each of the assu~ces contained in the application;
3. Certifies tha~ the City will adhere to all applicable
rules and regulat'ions ~ the use and administration of such
grant funds;
~ 4. Certifies tha~'. the City will inform the Program
Office as to any propo ed changes or modifications in the
program or use of gran' funds; and

5. Appoints th~"City Manager as agent for the City to
execute and submit a '.~. documents including, but not limited
to, applications, ag ements, amendments, assurances, and
payment requests whi may be necessary for the completion
of such project. .
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of t~e City of Anaheim this 22nd day of
January, 1980.
