Dear Honorable Councilmembers:
The Angels Stadium sale was always a bad deal for Anaheim residents. Now, it has come out
that the deal is connected to an FBI investigation into corruption in our city government. This is
unacceptable. Anaheim residents need and deserve transparent government and honest
leadership. We elect leaders to make decisions about our public resources based on fact and
what is best for constituents, not for personal and material gain. Given these deeply troubling
allegations, we urge the council to cancel the sale of Angel Stadium and the surrounding
public land immediately. To move forward on the deal now would be a slap in the face to our
community and our calls for good government.
