Request: The applicant requests approval of a parking
variance to provide fewer parking stalls than required by
code and a minor conditional use permit to permit an
Educational Institutions Use- Business with up to thirty
students in an existing building.
Environmental Determination: The Planning
Commission will consider whether to find the project
Categorically Exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA
Guidelines Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities).

convenience or necessity to permit the sales of alcoholic
beverages for on-premises consumption (Type 41 On-
Sale Beer and Wine- Eating Place ABC License) in
conjunction with an existing 1,308 square foot restaurant
in an existing shopping center.

COMMISSION UPDATES
Deputy Director Wetzel provided an update on agenda items for the August 29 and
September 12, 2022 Planning Commission meetings. She also provided an update on
agenda items approved at the August 9, 2022 City Council meeting. Deputy Director Wetzel
informed the Planning Commissioners of a training opportunity through the Institute for
Local Government.
