RESOLUTION 2022- 113
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED AT 2525 EAST BALL ROAD PURSUANT TO
CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE SECTION
8330, ET SEQ.-SUMMARY VACATION. (ABA2022-00419)
WHEREAS, an applicant has requested the vacation of a certain public utility
easement generally located at 2525 East Ball Road in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, as more particularly described below("Public Service Easement"), in order to
clear title to the land because the electric facilities have been relocated;
WHEREAS,the City of Anaheim("City of Anaheim") acquired the Public Service
Easement for public utility purposes ("Public Utility Purposes");
WHEREAS, the Public Service Easement is not necessary for present or
prospective Public Utility Purposes or any other public purpose; and
WHEREAS the Public Service Easement to be vacated has been superseded by
relocation and there are no other public facilities located within the Public Service Easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of the Public Service Easement recorded August 16, 1985,
as Instrument No. 85-306986 in the Official Records of Orange County, California, as described
more particularly and depicted in the Easement Deed attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by this reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim
hereby makes this vacation pursuant to the requirements of the California Streets and Highways
Code, Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this Resolution
shall not be effective until a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and is hereby, authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date the certified copy of
this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, the vacation
shall be complete and the Public Service Easements vacated shall no longer constitute a public
service easement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 4th day of October , 2022,by the following roll call vote:

Southeast quarter; thence S 89° 02' 32" E, 272. 00 feet along the centerline
of said Ball Road; thence N 0° 57' 28" E, 53. 00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence N 71° 27' 19" E, 203. 68 feet; thence N 0° 57 ' 28" E , 54. 00
feet to the hereinafter mentioned Point "A, " said point being the point of
terminus of said 6. 00 foot strip of land.
Parcel 2 : A strip of land 20. 00 feet in width, the centerline of said strip
being described as follows :
Beginning at the hereinabove mentioned Point "A" ; thence N 0° 57 ' 28" E, 10. 00
feet to the point of terminus of said 20. 00 foot strip of land.
The sidelines of said 6. 00 foot strip of land to be lengthened or shortened to
terminate in a line 53. 00 feet northerly of the centerline of said Ball Road.
