A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 69R -238
DECLARING ALL WEEDS GROWING UPON ANY PARCEL
OF REAL PROPERTY OR ANY PUBLIC STREET IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM TO BE A NUISANCE.
WHEREAS, on April 22, 1969, the City Council of
the City of Anaheim did pass Resolution No. 69R -238 declating
certain weeds on vacant lots and parcels of land in the City
to be a nuisance; and
WHEREAS, there exists a need to remove rank growth,
rubbish, refuse and dirt in addition to said weeds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 69R -238 be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"RESOLUTION NO. 69R -238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ALL RANK GROWTH, WEEDS,
RUBBISH,REFUSE AND DIRT UPON ANY PARCEL OR
PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY OR ANY PUBLIC STREET
IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO BE A NUISANCE.
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM:
"That there are existing upon various streets
or alleys in the City of Anaheim and vacant lots and
parcels of land adjacent to said streets or alleys, certain
rank growth, weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt and that
said materials are hereby declared to be a nuisance.
"The Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Anaheim is hereby authorized and directed to give
notice required by law to the owners or lessees of said
vacant lots, parcels of land, and streets or alleys adjacent
thereto to remove said rank growth, weeds, rubbish, refuse
and dirt as required by law.
"The City Clerk is hereby directed, as required
by law, to set Tuesday, May 27, 1969, at 1:30 P.M. in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall, City of Anaheim,
as the time and place for the hearing of objections to
the proposed removal of such rank growth, weeds, rubbish,
refuse and dirt.
"Said Superintendent of Streets is hereby
authorized and directed, upon the expiration of a period
of ten (10) days after notice as required by law, to
remove any rank growth, weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt
which have not been removed from said lots, parcels of
land, or streets or alleys, and to charge the cost of
such removal to the lots or parcels cleaned and to the
property adjacent to the streets or alleys cleaned by
said Superintendent of Streets.

"Upon removal by said Superintendent of Streets
of any of said rank growth, weeds, rubbish, refuse and
dirt, said Superintendent of Streets shall report to
the City Council the location and description of any
property from which he has removed said rank growth,
weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt, and unless the cost
of such removal is paid by the owners of said lots and
parcels of land, or the owners of lots and parcels of
land adjacent to said streets or alleys, the same shall
become a lien upon said property.
"THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and
signed by me this 22nd day of April, 1969.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects
said Resolution No. 69R -238 be, and remain in full force and
effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
