A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF
FINANCE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO MAKE
AN ESTIMATE OF THE INCREASE IN POPULATION
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, it is provided in Section 2107.2 of the
Streets and Highways Code that any city whose population has
increased substantially since the last Federal Census may
apply to the Department of Finance of the State of California
to estimate the increase in population; and
WHEREAS, said Section 2107.2 further provides that
the Department of Finance may make the estimate if, in the
opinion of the Department, there is available adequate infor-
mation upon which to base the estimate; and
WHEREAS, the Department has ascertained and deter-
mined that the records of the City of Anaheim contain adequate
information upon which to base the estimate; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to have the Department
estimate the increase in population of the City, and the Depart-
ment is willing to make such estimation upon the terms and
conditions as containethin the agreement tendered to the City
by the Department of Finance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that the terms and conditions of said agreement are fair and
reasonable and that it would be to the advantage and for the
best interest of the City to have the Department of Finance
make an estimate of the increase in population of the City
of Anaheim since the last census.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Department of Finance of the
State of California be, and it is hereby, authorized to make
an estimate of the increase in population of the City from
all available records and other information made available
to said Department and to determine the estimated present
population of the City capon the terms and conditions of the
agreement tendered to the City of Anaheim by the Department
of Finance and this day submitted to the City Council, which
agreement is hereby approved and the execution thereof authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Department of Finance
be compensated in the manner and in the amount as set forth
in said agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim
and to forward the executed copies of said agreement to the
Department of Finance to be executed by the Director thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 25th day of March, 1969.

Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 25th day of March, 1969,

approved and signed said Resolution No. 69R -155 on the 25th day of March,
1969.
