63-0891RESOLUTION NO. 63R- 891 T A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM EXPRESSING ITS CONDOLENCE'TO THE FAMILY OF WILLIS H. WARNER. WHEREAS, the City Council has been informed of the death of Willis H. Warner, our esteemed friend and advocate on matters of county -wide concern; and WHEREAS, in Willis Warner, affectionately known to all of us as "Mister Orange County," wje had in his career of long public service a man whose devotion to duty and sincere love of Orange County was equaled only by his experience in legislative matters; and WHEREAS, in the vital fields of sanitation and water conservation, Willis Warner, with infinite and know- ledge born of experience, has made great strides towards the solution of sanitation and water conservation problems; and WHEREAS, through his many years of public service, Willis Warner has contributed the rare gift of balance and wisdom to the deliberations of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County and the other Boards and entities with which he has been associated; and WHEREAS, throughout his long and active career in the public interest Willis Warner never lost the common touch and was ever and always available to all of the citizens of Orange County for consultation, advice or comment; and WHEREAS, because of his experience, devotion to public service and his ability to work with others, Orange i County has advanced and grown in stature to the metropolitan area it is today and is itself a tribute to Willis Warner. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it deeply mourns the passing of Willis H. Warner and on behalf of the people of Anaheim it extends the deepest sympathy to the family of Willis Warner not only for its personal loss but also for the loss of a true citizen of all of Orange County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the City Council and a copy thereof be for- warded to his daughter, Mrs. Alice Love of Santa Ana, and to his son, Willis C.
