RESOLUTION NO. 63R -918
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT TITLE
18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED AND THAT THE BOUND-
ARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES SHOULD BE CHANGED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
heretofore adopt an interim zoning ordinance reclassifying the
property hereinafter described, which was annexed to the City
of Anaheim under the Riverview Annexation No. 2; and
WHEREAS, Section 18.12.030 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code provides that upon the adoption of an interim zoning ordi-
nance the City Planning Commission shall immediately commence
studies and hearings to impose appropriate zoning on newly
annexed territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did conduct studies and hold a public hearing on said
proposed reclassification, designated as Reclassification No.
63- 64 -45, to consider an amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code relating to zoning, and to consider a change in
the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and
described, and at said hearing did receive evidence and reports
from persons interested therein and from its staff; and
WHEREAS within a period of forty days following said
hearing thereon the Planning Commission did duly adopt a resolu-
tion containing a report of its findings, a summary of the
evidence presented at said hearing and a recommendation that
the proposed amendment be adopted by the City Council and that
a certain zone or zones be changed as hereinafter set forth;
and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission the City Council did fix the 19th day of
November, 1963, as the time and the City Council Chambers in
the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public
hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code and the incorporation of said property in the
zone or zones hereinafter set forth; and did give notice thereof
in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did hold and conduct such public
hearing, and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and
did thereupon consider the summary of evidence presented at
said public hearing before the Planning Commission, its report
of findings, and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code should
be adopted and that the property hereinafter described should
be incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter set forth.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
be, and the same is hereby, amended and that the following
described property, situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:
Beginning at a point in the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line, said point being the Southeast corner of the
North Sunkist Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed
by Ordinance No. 1002, July 26, 1955 and filed with the
Secretary of State September 2, 1955 and recorded for
record September 12, 1955 in the office of the County
Recorder of Official Records of Orange County, California.
The Southeast corner of the said North Sunkist Annexation
being the intersection of the Northerly right of way
line of Anaheim -Olive Road (now known as Lincoln Avenue)
(60 feet wide), with the Easterly right of way line of
Sunkist Street (40 feet wide) as said street widths
existed at the time of the said North Sunkist Annexation;
thence North 0 10' East 1.161 feet, more or less, along
the said existing City of Anaheim City Limit line to an
intersection with the South line of the North half of
the South half of the Northeast quarter of Section 12,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M., said point
of intersection being in the existing City of Anaheim
City Limit line as established by the Sunkist -Rio Vista
Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance
No. 1405, October 13, 1959 and filed with the Secretary
of State November 13, 1959 and recorded for record
November 19, 1959 in the office of the County Recorder
of Official Records of Orange County, California; thence
North 89 52' East 2,637 feet, more or less, along the
last mentioned existing City of Anaheim City Limit line
being a portion of the said South line of the North
half of the South half of the Northeast quarter of said
Section 12, to the Southeast corner of said Sunkist -Rio
Vista Annexation; thence North 89 52' East 60 feet,
more or less, leaving the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line to an intersection with a line parallel with
and 30.00 feet Easterly of the West line of the Northwest
quarter of Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 9 West,
S.B.B. M.; thence South 0 10' West 495 feet, more or
less, along the last mentioned parallel line to an
intersection with the North line of the South five acres
of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 7; thence North 89 52' East 1,290 feet, more or
less, along the said Northerly line of the South five
acres of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter
of said Section 7 to an intersection with the Westerly
line of Tract No. 4412, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 155, pages 9, 10, 11 and 12, inclusive, of Miscellane-
ous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence
South 0 10' West 1,418 feet, more or less, along a portion
of the Westerly line of said Tract No. 4412, to the South-
west corner of said Tract No. 4412, said Southwest corner
being in the Northerly line of the existing City of Anaheim
City Limit line as established by the Wagner- Sunkist
Annexation to the City of Anaheim passed by Ordinance No.
1616, September 5, 1961, filed with the Secretary of State
October 5, 1961 and recorded October 9, 1961 in the office
of the County Recorder of Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence following along a portion of the
Northerly line of the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit Line, as established by said Wagner Sunkist
Annexation, the following courses and distances:
North 78 55' West 650 feet, more or less, South
11 05' West 39.80 feet, more or less, North 78 55'
West 3,400 feet, more or less, to the Southeast
corner of the aforementioned North Sunkist Annexation to
the City of Anaheim said Southeast corner being the
point of beginning.
shall be incorporated in R -A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE
with the exception of the following described portions of said
property, which shall be incorporated in C -1, NEIGHBORHOOD
COMMERCIAL ZONE:
PORTION A:
That certain parcel of land being a portion of the
Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of
Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, in the
Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 51, page 8 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California, described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Anaheim -Olive Road, as described in deed recorded
May 17, 1915 in Book 275, page 85 of Deeds, records
of said Orange County, with the West line of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 7; thence South
78 55' 05' East along said center line 434.76 feet;
thence North 0 05' 20" East parallel with the West
line of said Southwest quarter, 587.88 feet to a
line which is parallel with, and distant 30.00 feet
South of the North line of the South half of the
South half of the North half of the Northwest quarter
of the Southwest quarter of said Section 7; thence
South 89 49' 50" West along said parallel line 427.12
feet to the West line of the Southwest quarter of
said Section; thence South 0 05' 20" West along said
West line 533.57 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof lying within
Lincoln Avenue (formerly Anaheim -Olive Road,) and
Rio Vista Street.
PORTION B:
That portion of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 12, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West in the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, in the C ounty of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 10
of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the center line intersection of Lincoln
Avenue (formerly Anaheim -Olive Road) and Rio Vista
Street as per map filed in Book 17, Page 30 of Records
of Survey, in the office of said County Recorder;
thence along the center line of said Lincoln Avenue
northwesterly 195.00; thence parallel with said Rio
Vista Street northerly 210.00 feet; thence parallel
with said Lincoln Avenue southeasterly 195.00 feet
to said center line of Rio Vista Street; thence
southerly 210.00 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPT the southwesterly 30.00 feet of the easterly
30.00 feet thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and
submit to the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18
of the Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish the objects
herein found and determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
