RESOLUTION NO. 66R-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING THE ACCESS POINTS TO THE
SANTA ANA CANYON ROAD AS INDICATED ON EXHIBIT
NO.7, AS A LOGICAL METHOD OF PROVIDING ACCESS
TO THOSE PROPERTIES FRONTING SAID ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing to consider access to the Santa Ana Canyon Road and the
control of said access at certain specified points between Jef-
ferson Street on the west and the proposed Weir Canyon Primary
Highway on the east; and
WHEREAS, following said hearing thereon, the planning
Commission did duly adopt a resolution containing a report of its
findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said hearing,
and a recommendation that the access points to the Santa Ana
Canyon Road as indicated on Exhibit No. 7 on file in the Develop-
ment Services Department should be adopted by the City Council as
a logical method of providing access to those properties fronting
on said Canyon Road at such time as said properties are developed
for uses other than the uses for which they are presently zoned;
and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 11th day of
January, 1966 as the time and the Council Chamber in the City
Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed access points to the Santa Ana Canyon Road,
and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did there-
upon consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and

WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Exhibit No.7, on file in the Development Services Department,
represents a logical method of providing adequate access from those
properties on either side of the Santa Ana Canyon Road at such
time as said properties are developed for uses other than those
for which they are presently zoned, and that said exhibit should,
therefore, be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the access points to the Santa Ana Canyon
Road as indicated on Exhibit No. 7 on file in the Development
Services Department be, and the same are hereby adopted as a logi-
cal method of providing access to those properties fronting on
said road; provided, however, that the existing access now afford-
ed the owners of said properties. shall remain in use ~ntil such
time as the properties are redeveloped for uses other than the
uses for whiCh said properties are now zoned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
recommend to the Orange County Planning Commission that the access
points to the Santa Ana Canyon Road as indicated on said .Exhibit
No. 7 be adopted; and that a certified copy of this resolution,
together with a copy of said Exhibit No.7, be forwarded to the
Orange County Planning Commission.
