A RESOLUTIO~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF Al'lAHEn;: APPROVING 1..N AUENDMENT TO
THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED l"S ~<:ENDHENT
NO . 61.
WHEREAS, the city Planning Comroission of the City of
l~aheim tiid hold a public hearing to consider an mnendment to
the Circulation Element of Arterial Streets and liighways on the
General Plan by designating Howell Avenue as a secondary high'"
way between state College'3oulevard and Katella Avenue, and at
sai~ hearina did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein, and --

Commission uic duly adont a resolution containina a report of
its fincings, a summary.cf the evidence Dresente~ at said near-
ing, and a reco~neneation that said amendment to ~~e General
Plan, designated as Amendment No. 61, be adopted by the City
Council;: and
~mEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, smmnary of
evidence, report of findi~gs, and recomraendation of the City
~lanning Commission, the City Council did fix the 1st day of
February: 1966, as the time and the Council C~amber in the City
rIall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed &deniliaent No. 61 to the General Plan and did
give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law: and
f~EP~S, at the time and place fixed for said public
hhearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission, and .
~iHEREAS, the City Council aoes find and determine that
Amendment Uo. 61 to the General Plan, establishing Howell Avenue
as a secondary highway between state College Boulevard and
Katella Avenue, should be approved. .
Nmi, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 61 to the Circulation
Element of Arterial Streets and Highways on the General Plan,
establishing Howell Avenue as a secondary highway between state
College Boulevard and Katella Avenue, De, and the same is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ti~at the City Planning Depart-
ment be, and it is hereby instructed, to amend the General Plan
Map to conform to General Plan Amendment No. 61 herein approved.
BE IT FURTlmR RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby recommend to the Orange County Planning Commission that
Howell Avenue be designated as a secondary highway between State
College Boulevard and Katella Avenue on the County Circulation
Element of the General Plan.
