A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE ATCHISON,
TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY GRANTING TO
THE CITY A LICENSE TO USE CERTAIN LAND SITUATED
AT OR NEAR ANAHEIM, COUNTY OF ORANGE, FOR ROAD-
WAY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company, a Kansas corporation, has tendered to the City of
Anaheim a license agreement dated January 25, 1966, for a
term beginning February 1, 1966 and ending when said license
shall be terminated, as provided therein, licensing and per-
mitting the City of Anaheim to use certain land exclusively as
a site for roadway purposes, subject to the rights and ease-
ments therein excepted and reserved, and upon the terms and
conditions therein set forth, said land being situated at or
near Anaheim, Orange County, California, and outlined in red
coloring on the print attached to said License Agreement num-
bered 77- 29819, dated January 5, 1965, and marked "Exhibit A ";
and
WHEREAS, said license agreement has this day been
submitted to the City Council for consideration, and the City
Council does find and determine that it would be for the bene-
fit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to enter into
said license agreement with said Railway Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the above - mentioned license agree-
ment tendered to the City of Anaheim by The Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company, a Kansas corporation, licensing
and permitting the City of Anaheim to use certain land exclu-
sively as a site for roadway purposes, subject to the rights
and easements therein excepted and reserved, and upon the terms
and conditions therein set forth, the land being situated at or
near Anaheim, Orange County, California, and outlined in red
coloring on the print attached to said License Agreement,
numbered 77- 29819, dated January 5, 1965, and marked "Exhibit A, °f
be, and the same is hereby, approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
above mentioned for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 1sth day of January, 1966.
