A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY. OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A DEED FOR A
FIRE .STATION SITE (LAKEVIEW), ORDERING
RECORDATION THEREOF AND AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT .THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, as a result of negotiations between the
City of Anaheim and the. Orange County Water District, the
City agreed to purchase and the Water District agreed to
sell certain real property in the City of Anaheim to be used
as a fire station site; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the negotiations therefor,
the City of Anaheim agreed to pay to the Orange County Water
District the total sum of $10,793.00 representing the
appraised value of $10,650.00 plus $143.00 for the cost of a
connection charge to the Yorba Linda County Water District;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the. Orange County
Water District has tendered to the City of Anaheim its Corporation
Grant Deed covering said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interests of the City of Anaheim to accept said Corporation
Grant Deed and to record the same after making payment to the
Orange County Water District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by. the City Council of
the. City of. Anaheim that it accept and it does hereby accept
the Corporation Grant Deed of. the Orange County Water District
covering the following described property:
The .real property in the City of Anaheim, County
of. Orange, State of California, described as:
That .portion of the first and third class lands
allotted to Felipe and Marcos Yorba in the Final
Decree of Partition of the Rancho Canon de Santa
Ana, a certified copy of which is recorded in
Book 28, page 158 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of the land
conveyed to the County of Orange in Parcel No.
122.01 in deed recorded May 2, 1967 in Book 8240,
page 919 of. Official Records of said Orange County
(being a point in the centerline of Taylor Street),
said point also being the Southwest corner of the
land described in the deed recorded October 5, 1953
in Book 2587, page 548 of said Official Records;
thence South .75 14' 48" East along the southerly
line of the land described in said last- mentioned
deed, and its Southeasterly prolongation, to a
point in a line parallel with and distant Easterly
160 feet (measured at right angles) from said
centerline of Taylor Street, as said centerline is
shown on a Map filed in Book 77, page 34 of Record
Westerly, at right angles, 160 feet to a point
in said centerline;. thence North 0 27' 00"
West, along said centerline, to the point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby authorized to record said Corporation Grant Deed
and that the. Finance Director be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to draw a warrant in favor of the. Orange County
Water District in the amount of $10,793.00, and that the same
be delivered to the Office of the City Attorney for transmittal;
said draft to be charged to. Account No. 109 -323- 901 -1.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 4th day of February, 1969.
