RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 206
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
AS LESSOR, AND GOLDEN WEST BASEBALL CO., AS LES-
SEE, PROVIDING FOR THE LEASING OF OFFICE SPACE
IN THE ANAHEIM STADIUM.

WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, as Lessor, and Golden
West Baseball Co., as Lessee, entered into a "Lease Agreement,"
dated August 8, 1964, under and by virtue of which Golden West
Baseball Co. did lease from the City the stadium and accessory
and af.purtenant facilities as more particularly set forth in
said 'Lease Agreement;" and
WHEREAS, Section 20 of said "Lease Agreement" of August
8, 1964 anticipates that Lessor and Lessee thereunder will enter
into a separate lease of office space; and
WHEREAS, the term of said "Lease Agreement" of August 8,
1964 is for a period of 35 years, commencing on the date of the
first pre-season home exhibition game of the "Angels" in the
year. 1966 (or as otherwise provided therein); and
WHEREAS, a form of lease for office space, as antici-
pated in said Section 20 of said "Lease Agreement" of Augu:st 8,
1964, has this day been submitted to the City Council to be
entered into between the City and said Golden West Baseball Co.,
the terms and conditions of which the City Council finds to be
satisfactory; and that said lease should, therefore, be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the lease agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into by and between
the City of Anaheim, as Lessor, and Golden West Baseball Co.,
as Lessee, providing for the leasing by said Lessor to said
Lessee of the following described property:
Approximately 10,000 square feet of office space as.
shown on the approved final plans and specifications
of the stadium structure to which reference is made in
the "Lease Agreement" of August 8, 1964,
for a term of years co-terminous with that certain "Lease Agree-
ment" dated August 8, 1964, said term to commence upon the
completion and occupancy of the demised premises, but no later
than the start of the term of said "Lease Agreement" of August 8,
1964, at a rental of $2,000.00 per month, payable monthly in
advance, upon the terms and conditions set forth in said lease
agreement this day submitted to the City Council, be, and the
same is hereby approved.
. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said lease
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
