A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARABEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESS ITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
FURNISHING AND INSTALLING TRAFFJC SIGNALS AIm
SAFETY IJ~~NG AT THE INTERSECTION OF MAGNOLIA
AND ORANGE AVENUES. IN THE CITY OF ANAHEDf.

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFI~TIONS FOR TIlE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING 'nIE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS., SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERIC TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Furnishing and installing traffic signals at the
intersection of Magnolia and Orange Avenues, in the
City of Anaheim, including safety lighti:, and ap-
purtenant work, as more particularly set orth in
the plans and specifications on file in the office
of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Project No.
356-B.

AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works DeDartm8nt to prepare detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings aDd specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said -...fJIblic Horks DepGtJDent has
prepared said detailed CIiilgns, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in .ccordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and

residents in said area for the purposes for whicb they are
intended, and tbat they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and sbould be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counc il of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, be, and the same are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by said, Public Works
Department
AND BE IT FURTllER RESOLVED that said public improvelll8l1t
shall be constructed in accordance witb said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said

approvea, ana suc adaiDaa or modifications.thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that tbe City Clerk of tbe City
of Anaheim be; and sbe is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, in9itiag sealed proposals for
tbe furnisbing of all plant, labor, se~vices, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, includina power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to cODstruct
and complete, in a good and wor_nlike manner, in" strict accordance
with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speci-
fications as prepared by said Public Works DeautJDent

apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tbat tbe successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract witb the
City of Anabeim in tbe manner and form approved bI the City
Attorney of the City of Anabeim for tbe construct on, installa-
tian ~na completion of said public improvement bereinabove
mentioned and described; in accordance witb tbe plans and speci-
fications prepared by said Pu~ork8 O~tmAnt

this resolution and all applicable City Ordinaaces or Code
Sections and tbe laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the a~unts and within
tbe time required by law, as specified in tbe notice invitina
sealed proposals, and in a form approved by tbe.City Attorney.
