A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING T~ SUBMISSION OF A
REQUEST TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES C~SSION
FOR FUNDS' FROM THE CROSSING PROTECTION FUND .

. WHEREAS, the Santa Fe ~oad
and the City of Anaheim. have entere nto a contract for the
erection of crossing protection at Crossing No. ~-l~8.~
at the intersection of Santa Fe Railroad and South Street
; and
WHERE~, . the legislature of the St.ate of California
has created a crossing protection fqnd for the assistance of
local agencies in the construction of crossing protections to be
administered by the Public Utilities Commission; and
WHEREAS, the PUblic Utilities Commission, by its order
in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495~ has prescribed that
certain information and eXhibits be set'forth in requests for
crossing protection funds, including a resolution fram the legis-
lative body of the local agency authorizing the submission of a
request for said funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City CoUncil of
the City of Anahe~ that a request in conformity'with the pro-
cedure contained in the order in Public Utility Commission Case
No. 5495 be submitted to the Public Utilities Commission, re-'
questing funds fram the Crossing Protection Fund for the protec-
tion of Crossing No. 2-168.3 at the intersection of
RAnta Fe ,a{lroad and South Street
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the lngineering Department
of the City of Anaheim shall take all necessary steps to prepare
and submit such request to the Public Utilities Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute s'aid request for crossing' protec-
tion funds and to verify said request as prescribed in Appendix
A of said order in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495.
