RESOWTION NO. 66R- ]67
A RESOWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL or THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH J. S. BELOND AND
RUTH M. BELOND FOR THE SALE AND PURCHASE OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.

WHEREAS, J. S. Belond and Ruth M. Belond are the
owners of the land hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has determined that it
requires said property for road, highway and flood control
purposes, and anticipated acquiring the same through eminent
domain proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said land and the City have
agreed upon the value of said property and the owners will sell
the same to the City without the legal proceedings necessary in
eminent domain litigation; and'
WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into an agreement
for the sale and purchase of said land for a total consideration
of $200,000.00 and to specify the terms and conditions upon
which said sale and purchase will be made; and
WHEREAS such an agreement has this day been submitted
to the City CouncIl to be made and entered into between the
parties, which agreement the City Council finds would be in the
best interests of the City and should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City o~ Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between J. S.
Beland and Ruth M. Belond and the City of Anaheim, providing
for the sale of the following described land:
All that real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as
follow"- . to wit:

That portion of the West half of the Northwest quarter
of Section 41 Township 4 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B.& M.,
more particu arly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of said Section,
1,211.71 feet North of the Northwest corner of Lot 4 of
said Section; thence North along said West line 359.13
feetj thence North 870 51' East 1154.72 feet; thence
South along a line parallel to the West line of said
Section, 373.46 feet to the Northeast corner of the land
described as Parcell in the deed to J. W. Walls and
wife, recorded November 1, 1928 in Book 208, page 421 of
Official Records, said point being also in the West line
of the land conve~d to Peter Allec, Jr. and others by
deed recorded March 2, 1928 in Book 140,_r.age 93 of said
Official Records; thence South 88- 33' qu' West 1154.36
feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion conveyed to Humble Oil
& Refining Company 1. a Delaware corporation, by deed
recorded November ts, 1963 in Book 6798, page 58 of
Official Records of Orange County.

by said Belonds, owners thereof, to the City of Anaheim for a
total consideration of $200,000.00, upon the terms and condi-
tions set forth in said agreement, be, and the same is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
1st day of March, 1966.
