RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 386
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A "NO PARKING"
ZONE ON ANAHEIM BOULEVARD IN THE VICINITY
OF 1360 SOUTH ANAHEIM BOULEVARD, ANAHEIM,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, a request has been made by International
Business Machines Corporation, 1360 South Anaheim Boulevard,
to restrict parking on the east side of Anaheim Boulevard,
north of Palais Road, in the vicinity of 1360 South Anaheim
Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California has, by letter dated May 13, 1966, advised the City
Engineer that the results of its investigation indicate that
it would be desirable to prohibit parking on the east side of
Anaheim Boulevard from the center line of Palais Road to the
north property line of 1360 South Anaheim Boulevard, between
the hours of 8 to 10 A.M. and 4 to 6 P.M. of any day, except
Sundays and holidays; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit parking on a state highway if the resolution is first
submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has requested that
the prohibition of parking shall be inoperative six months
after withdrawal of the approval of the Department of Public
Works.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited between the
hours of 8 to 10 A.M. and 4 to 6 P.M. of any day, except
Sundays and holidays, on the east side of Anaheim Boulevard
from the center line of Palais Road to the north property line
of 1360 South Anaheim Boulevard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall
go into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the
Department of Public Works of the State of California; and
that said prohibition of parking and this resolution shall
cease to be effective six months after receipt by the City
Council of written notice of withdrawal of approval of the
Department of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 31st day of May, 1966.
