A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING EXTENSION
OF THE AGREENENT DATED AUGUST 22, 1961,
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND RALPH
DE LEON CONSTRUCTION, INC. AND LUCY DE
LEON.
WHEREAS, on the 22nd aay of August, 1961, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim authorized the City of Anaheim
to enter into that certain contract, dated the 22nd day of
August, 1961; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said City Council authorization,
the City entered into that certain contract dated the 22nd day
of August, 1961, by and between the City of Anaheim and Ralph
De Leon Construction, Inc. and Lucy De Leon for the furnishing,
by the City of Anaheim, of water for irrigation purposes for
their properties located at 131 North Coffman Avenue and 207 North
Coffman Avenue, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said temporary agree-
ment for the furnishing of irrigation water, the City of Anaheim
did furnish irrigation water for a period of five (5) years to
the properties aforesaid; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said agreement, Ralph
De Leon Construction, Inc. and Lucy De Leon have the option in
said agreement to renew said agreement for a period of five (5)
years; and
WHEREAS, on or about August 31, 1966 Ralph De Leon
Construction, Inc. notified the City of Anaheim, by letter,
stating their desire to exercise their right and option contained
in that certain contract of the 22nd day of August, 1961.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that that certain agreement by and between
the City of Anaheim and Ralph De Leon Construction, Inc. and
Lucy De Leon, dated August 22, 1961, be, and the same is hereby,
extended for the term of five (5) years from and after the date
of August 22, 1966, for the furnishing of irrigation water for
the properties located at 131 North Coffman Avenue and 207 North
Coffman Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, pursuant to that certain
right of option contained in said agreement of August 22, 1961,
and automatically renewed by the exercise of the right of option
granted Ralph De Leon Construction, Inc. and Lucy De Leon in
said agreement with the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby authorized to receive and file the aforesaid exercise
of said option for the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of September, 1966.
