The agenda having been posted on Monday, June 19, 2023, the Regular Meeting of the Public Utilities
Board (Board) - Facilities Inspection of the Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant of The
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California was called to order by Chairperson J. Seymour at
9:11 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 3972 Valley View Avenue, Building 1 Demo, Yorba Linda,
California 92886.

REGARDING THE ROBERT B. DIEMER WATER
TREATMENT PLANT OF THE METROPOLITAN
WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD)
staff provided a facilities inspection tour of the Robert B. Diemer
Water Treatment Plant (Diemer) located at 3972 Valley View
Avenue, Yorba Linda, California 92886, which included, among
other things, a briefing on how the source water reaches Diemer
and the treatment process, and a physical observation of the
ozone treatment, flash mixing, flocculation, sedimentation, and
filtration areas. The control room was viewed and MWD staff,
including the control room operator, described how Diemer is
operated and staffed.

portion of the meeting.
