A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WATER COMPANY QUITCLAIMING
TO THE CITY ALL RIGHTS, TITLE, INTEREST AND
ESTATE IN AND TO A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR WATER
PIPELINE, AND INGRESS AND EGRESS PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, heretofore, by its Resolution No. 66R -61,
adopted January 31, 1966, the City Council did authorize the
execution of an agreement between the City and Southern
California Water Company, dated January 31, 1966, pursuant to
the terms of which Southern California Water Company agreed to
sell to the City all water system properties of any description
owned by it and lying within the boundaries set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached to said agreement; and
WHEREAS, included in said water system properties
owned by said Water Company is an easement and right of way
over the hereinafter described real property for the purpose of
installing, maintaining and operating water pipelines and their
appurtenances; and for the further purpose of ingress, egress
and passage across said property; and
WHEREAS, Southern California Water Company has ten-
dered to the City a Quitclaim Deed releasing, remising and quit-
claiming unto the City all of its rights, title and interest in
and to the above mentioned easement, in accordance with the
terms of said agreement dated January 31, 1966.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Quitclaim Deed executed by Southern
California Water Company, a California Corporation, releasing,
remising and forever quitclaiming unto the City of Anaheim any
and all rights, title, interest and estate which it may have or
own, either separately or jointly with any other person or per-
sons or otherwise, in and to an easement and right of way over,
under, through and across that portion of the real property here-
inafter described for the purpose of installing, enlarging,
replacing, maintaining and operating water pipelines and their
appurtenances; and for the further purpose of ingress, egress,
and passage across with all necessary materials, tools, supplies,
and other equipment necessary for the installation, maintaining
and operation of other water facilities located on adjacent land,
be and the same is hereby accepted by the City of Anaheim.
Said real property is described as follows:
The westerly five (5) feet of Lot 51, Tract
1098, as per map recorded in Book 39,
Pages 1 and 2 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 6th day of September, 1966.
