A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING EASEMENT GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and
public utility purposes
and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered
to sell and convey the same to t e City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of
JACK E. RILEY and MARJORIE P. RILEY, husband and wife,
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described rea
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for road and
public utility purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under
and across that portion of the Southeast quarter of the North-
west quarter of Section 26, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Southeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter of Section 26; thence West along the
North line of said Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter,
to the Northeasterly line of a strip of land 60 feet wide as
conveyed to the State of California for highway purposes by
deed recorded in Book 258, page 62 of Deeds; thence South-
easterly along said Northeasterly right of way line to the
East line of said Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter;
thence North along said East line to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom that portion lying Southerly of the West-
erly prolongation of the South line of the Northwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter of said Section 26.
Also excepting therefrom that portion lying within the Southern
Pacific Railroad Co. right of way.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
