A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING PURCHASES OF
CERTAIN ITEMS FOR THE CITY BY THE PURCHAS-
ING AGENT OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
WHEREAS, it is permissible under Sections 51301,
et seq., of the Government Code of the State of California to
contract with the County to perform certain functions for the
City; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is possible to acquire
certain items consistent with the City's centralized purchas-
ing system at a substantially lower cost by having them
purchased by the County; and
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, the desire of the City
Council to contract with the County for the County Purchasing
Agent to purchase certain items for the City under the condi-
tions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby agrees
with the County of Orange that the Purchasing Agent for the
County shall purchase for the City at the request of the City
Manager of the City of Anaheim gasoline and other items
required by the City of Anaheim regularly purchased by the
County as may be designated from time to time by the City
Manager.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby agrees
to pay the expenses and costs incurred by the County in per-
forming the services for the City within 15 days after being
billed for the same, provided such expenses and costs incurred
in any month are billed to the City prior to the end of the
following month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon the approval of
the terms of this resolution by the Board of Supervisors, it
shall constitute a contract between the City of Anaheim and
the County of Orange, which said contract shall commence on
the 13th day of July, 1966, and shall terminate on the 30th
day of June, 1971.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 12th day of July, 1966.
