66-455RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 455 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P. M. ON JUNE 16, 1966, FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NOS. 3507 AND 889 -PHASE I. WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 17th day of May, 1966, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 66R -353 finding and determining that public convenience and necessity required the construction •and completion of a public improvement consisting of the construction of a utility yard, between South Street and Vermont Avenue, on the east side of the A.T. S.F. R.R., in the City of Anaheim, Job Nos. 3507 and 889 Phase I; and WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials_and, equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing a,4 Work necessary to construct and complete said public improvement, and fixing the 16th day of June, 1966 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, upon said 16th day of June, 1966, at the hour of 2 :00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and tile City Engineer did tabulate all bids so received and did report the result thereof to the City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 21st day of June, 1966, and the City Council did defer action thereon until July 5, 1966; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received are in excess of the Architect's estimate of the cost of said public improvement, and that said bids should be rejected, and the plans and specifications for said utility yard improvement revised, and said job re- advertised at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE .IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock P. M. on June 16, 1966, tabulated by the City Engineer, and submitted to the Council on June 21, 1966, for the construction of a utility yard, between South Street and Vermont Avenue, on the east side of the A.T. S.F. R.R., in the City of Anaheim, Job Nos. 3507 and 889 -Phase I, be, and the same are hereby rejected; and that the plans and specifications for said public improvement be revised and said job .re- advertised at a later date.
