66-765WHEREAS, on the 21st day of November, 1966, the City
Planning Commission did duly pass and adopt its Resolution No.
PC66 -160 finding that the frontage road southerly of the River-
side Freeway, between Chantilly Street on the west and Newkirk
Road on the east, within the City of Anaheim, has never been
assigned a definite street name; and
WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did further find
that the assignment of a street name will'relieve a condition
of confusion to emergency vehicles, the public and governmental
departments, and said Planning Commission did recommend to the
City Council that the name "Frontera Street" be assigned to
said frontage road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the assignment
of a street name to said frontage road will result in less con-
fusion to emergency vehicles, the public and governmental depart-
ments, and that by reason of the foregoing facts, public conveni-
ence and necessity require that said frontage road be assigned a
definite street name.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the name "Frontera Street" be assigned
to the frontage road lying southerly of the Riverside Freeway,
between Chantilly Street on the west and Newkirk Road on the
east, within the City of Anaheim, and that henceforth and here-
after such road shall be known and designated upon all maps by
the name "Frontera Street."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange County Planning
Commission be urged to assign the name "Frontera Street" to that
portion of the frontage road, within its jurisdiction, located
southerly of the Riverside Freeway, between the Orange County
Flood Control Channel and Newkirk Road.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of December, 1966.
