RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 734
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING THAT IT WOULD NOT BE IN
THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CITY TO PROCEED
FURTHER WITH THE BROADWAY BROOKHURST ANNEXATION,
AND TERMINATING THE SAME.
WHEREAS, heretofore the proponents of the annexation
of certain territory to the City of Anaheim designated as the
Broadway Brookhurst Annexation have complied with all of the
requirements of the Annexation Act of 1913, up to and including
the circulation of a petition therefor; and
WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of November, 1966, the City
Council did receive a petition signed by a sufficient number of
electors and in all respects conforming to the provisions of law
governing the circulation thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that it would be to
the disadvantage of, and not in the best interests of, the City
of Anaheim and the residents thereof to submit the question of
the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the matter of the proposed annexation
of the territory referred to as the Broadway Brookhurst Annexation
be, and the same is hereby terminated pursuant to the provisions
of Section 35122 of the Government Code of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 22nd day of November, 1966.
