A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A QUITCLAIM DEED REMISING, RELEASING
AND QUITCLAIMING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO
ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Orange County Flood Control District has
awarded a contract for the construction of that portion of
the Atwood Channel in Tract No. 5988 in the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, said District has requested that the City
of Anaheim quitclaim to Orange County Flood Control District
all of its right, title and interest in and to the "Flood
Control Right of Way" of Tract No. 5988, since said District
intends to construct, maintain and operate said channel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in
the best interest of the City to quitclaim said "Flood Control
Right of Way" to said District for said flood control channel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed, for and on behalf
of the City of Anaheim, to make, execute and deliver to Orange
County Flood Control District, a body corporate and politic, a
good and sufficient Quitclaim Deed, remising, releasing and
forever quitclaiming to said Orange County Flood Control District
all right, title and interest in and to the following described
real property in the. City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California:
All that certain parcel of land shown as
"Flood Control Right of Way" on the map
of Tract No. 5988, in the city of Anaheim,
county of Orange, state of California,
per map recorded in book 224, pages 48 to
50 inclusive of Miscellaneous Maps in the
office of the County Recorder of said
county.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 25th day of October, 1966.
