DEVELOPMENT : Lisa Stipkovich A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency was posted at 1:55 p.m. on March 19, 1999, at the City Hall Bulletin Board, (both outside and inside the entrance to City Hall) containing all items as shown herein. Chairman Daly called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 6:15 p.m. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of $567,566.78 for period ending March 23, 1999 in accordance with the 1998-99 Budget, were approved. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA : There were no additions to agenda items. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST : No items of public interest were addressed. PUBLIC COMMENTS - AGENDA ITEMS : There were no public comments on Redevelopment Agency agenda items. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS : On motion by Chairman Daly, seconded by Agency Member McCracken the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda. 1. 123: RESOLUTION NO. ARA99- 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY approving and authorizing the Agency’s execution of a Cooperation and Reimbursement Agreement by and between the Agency and the Anaheim Union High School District and making certain findings in connection therewith. ( Brookhurst Demonstration Project) Chairman Daly. He commended staff for reaching the subject agreement to enhance a portion of Brookhurst Street adjacent to Brookhurst Junior High. They need to do more relative to these types of partnerships to improve the community. 2. 158: Approving the conveyance of an easement for public utilities purposes to the City of Anaheim, and authorizing the Agency Executive Director to execute the Easement Deed and any other documents necessary to complete the transfer. 3. 123: Approving an Agreement with Purkiss-Rose/ RSI, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for landscape architecture services for several Agency projects. 4. 161: Waiving the owner occupancy requirement of the Second Mortgage Assistance Program Loan Agreement for Claudia Valenzuela and Armando Gonzalez. 5. 123: RESOLUTION NO. ARA99- 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY approving the Cooperation Agreement for the West Lincoln Avenue Street Improvements; making certain findings related to the project; and authorizing the Executive Director of Community Development to execute said Agreement. ANAHEIM CIVIC CENTER, ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MARCH 23, 1999 6. 123: Approving a Professional Services Agreement with Mark Briggs and Associates in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for processing of grant applications and HUD Sec. 108 loan applications on an as-needed basis. End of Consent Calendar. MOTIONS CARRIED. DEDICATION – INTERACTIVE FOUNTAIN – DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT AREA : Chairman Daly announced that earlier today (12 Noon), the Agency/Council dedicated the new Interactive Fountain in the Downtown Redevelopment Area located at the corner of Center Street Promenade and Lemon Street adjacent to the new Disney Travel Building. The Fountain is a result of the excellent work of Redevelopment staff in overseeing this wonderful amenity in the downtown area. Already, kids and families are enjoying the beautiful fountain which was dedicated in memory of the late Julie Mayer who was instrumental in guiding a number of Public Art Projects in Anaheim over the years as well as having served as a member of the City’s Planning Commission.
