A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASE-
MENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and
public utility purposes
and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered
to sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of W. H. JEWETT, a married

to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for road and
public utility purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across that portion of Lots 4 and 5 of Tract
No. 71, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 10, page 22
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, described as follows:
Beginning at the center line intersection of State College
Boulevard (formerly Placentia Avenue) with the center line
of Katella Avenue; thence Easterly along the center line
of Katella Avenue, a distance of 232 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence Easterly along said center line
of Katella Avenue a distance of 203 feet to the Northwest
corner of that land conveyed to Kayco Corporation by deed
recorded December 20, 1962 in Book 6367, page 591 of said
Official Records; thence South 0 8' East, parallel with
the center line of said State College Boulevard, a dis-
tance of 60 feet to an intersection with a line parallel
with and 60 feet Southerly, as measured at right angles,
from the center line of said Katella Avenue; thence Wester-
ly along last mentioned parallel line to a point in the
Easterly line of that certain pumping plant described by
agreement recorded May 15, 1934 in Book 677, page 15 of
said Official Records; thence North 0 8' West along last
mentioned Easterly line and its Northerly prolongation to
the true point of beginning, a distance of 60 feet;
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 7th day of May 19 63
