63-0306RESOLUTION NO. 63R- 306 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CLARIFYING THE INTENT OF RESOLUTIONS NO. 63R -266 AND NO. 63R-267 AND ESTABLISHING THE EFFECTIVE DATES OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 63R -266 did establish a new unmetered rate to be applied to the consumers of water within the City of Anaheim upon completion of the acquisition of the Dyke Water System; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 63R -267 did establish metered rates to be applied to all consumers from the City's water system outside the City of Anaheim and did establish unmetered rates for the consumers to be served by the City outside the City Limits upon final acquisition of the Dyke Water System; and WHEREAS, it is impracticable to pro -rate a new rate and have it apply for only a portion of a billing period, it becomes essential to have the new rate become effective on a billing period date. Finance Dir NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the unmetered rates as established by Resolutions No. 63R -266 and No. 63R -267 shall become effective and shall apply on the first billing date after the acquisition of the system from the Dyke Water Company and that service to these consumers will be extended to the end of the billing date when the new rates become effective at the same rate they were furnished by the Dyke Water Company. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as to the newly established metered rates to be applied outside the City Limits of the City of Anaheim, these rates shall become effective at the end of the current billing date when the meter is read for billing purposes so that the old rates shall be charged for the current period of use and bills upon the next meter reading shall be submitted at the old rates and billings thereafter shall be submitted at the new rates. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as to metered customers of the Dyke Water Company who are acquired from the Dyke Water Company, the same formula will be used as above specified for other metered rates, to wit: the Dyke metered rates will be charged for current billings and bills upon meter readings for the first billing period after acquisition of the system will be submitted on the Dyke metered rates and all bills thereafter will be submitted on the rates applicable to the customers in accord- ance with the metered rates for residents or persons outside of the City on the current metered rates.
