A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM URGING SUPPORT OF SENATE BILL
NO. 344.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
recognizes the needs of Orange County and of the City of Anaheim
in the construction and maintenance of County roads and City
streets; and
WHEREAS, said Senate Bill No. 344 provides for an
equitable distribution of the financial burden of said street
improvements between the State and the local political entity;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council believes that the provisions
of Senate Bill No. 344 are the best obtainable at this time to
meet these needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby endorse and support
Senate Bill No. 344 and urge that the members of the California
State Legislature from Orange County give their support and aid
in the passage of said legislation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be prepared and sent to the Honorable Randolph Collier,
State Senator, and the Honorable John A. Murdy, Jr., State
Senator, and to the Honorable William E. Dannemeyer, the Honorable
James E. Whetmore, and the Honorable Robert E. Badham, State
Assemblymen from Grange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 12th day of March, 1963.
