A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR EASEMENTS FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: Easements for road and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City
of Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of ROBERT S. BARNES and
BEVERLY B. BARNES, husband and wife, and H. E. W. BARNES, an
unmarried man, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following
described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, to be used for easements
for road and public utility purposes, and more particularly
described as follows:
PARCEL ONE: An easement for road and public utility
purposes over, under and across the Easterly 32.00 feet
(as measured at right angles to the center line of West
Street) of that portion of Section 4, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B. &M., described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the West line of Lot 10 of
Miles Rancho, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4,
page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, said point being located 574.94 feet
North 0 10' 00" West from the Southwest corner of
said Lot 10, said Southwest corner being the inter-
section of the center lines of roads as shown on a Map
filed in Book 1, page 55 of Record of Surveys in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County, Cali-
fornia, and running thence South 0 10' 00" East 57
feet along the Westerly line of said Lot 10, said line
being the center line of a road as shown on said Map
filed in Book 1, page 55 of Record of Surveys in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
thence Westerly, parallel with the South line of the land
conveyed to Joseph Packer and wife by deed filed May 26,
1948 as Document No. 16,554 in the office of the Registrar
of Titles of Orange County, California, 160 feet; thence
North 0 10' 00" West parallel with said Westerly line
of Lot 10, 57 feet to the South line of said land con-
veyed to Joseph Packer and wife; thence Easterly along
said South line 160 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL TWO: An easement for public utility purposes over,
under and across the Northerly five feet of the whole of
all the land described above in Parcel One.

The Southerly two feet of the Northerly five feet
of Parcel Two above described will be used for electric
power line overhang purposes only.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 18th day of June 1963.
