A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH NORTH AMERICAN
AVIATION, INC., AUTONETICS DIVISION, WITH
REFERENCE TO THE DEPUTIZING OF EMPLOYEES OF
NORTH AMERICAN AVIATION, INC., AS POLICE
OFFICERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PLACING TRAFFIC

WHEREAS, North. American Aviation, Inc., Autonetics
Division, has located an industrial plant within the corporate
limits of the City of Anaheim, California, and employs a large
number of persons in the operation and maintenance of said
plant; and
WHEREAS, Anaheim Road is one of the main access roads
leading to said plant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is in the process of
widening and restriping Anaheim Road; and
WHEREAS, said Anaheim Road becomes congested with
vehicular traffic when the employees of North American Aviation,
Inc., Autonetics Division, are going to and from the plant; and
WHEREAS, the traffic congestion could be alleviated by
the placement of traffic cones to channelize the vehicles using
Anaheim Road; and
WHEREAS, North American Aviation, Inc., Autonetics
Division, has offered to place said traffic cones on Anaheim
Road to channelize the vehicles using said road; and
WHEREAS, the City and said North American Aviation,
Inc., desire to enter into an agreement for the deputizing of
such employees of said North American Aviation, Inc., as it
wishes to have deputized as police officers for the purpose of
placing said traffic cones on Anaheim Road; and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement dated June 11, 1963, has
this day been submitted to the City Council to be made and
entered into by and between North American Aviation, Inc.,
Autonetics Division, and the City for the deputizing of said
employees of said corporation as such guards, which agreement
the City Council finds would be for the benefit and best
interest of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement dated June 11, 1963,
this day submitted to the City Council to be made and entered
into by and between the City of Anaheim and North American
Aviation, Inc., Autonetics Division, for the deputizing of
such employees of said North American Aviation, Inc., as it
wishes to have deputized to make them deputized police officers
of the City for the purpose of placing traffic cones on Anaheim
Road to channelize the vehicles using said Road, upon the terms
and conditions set forth in said agreement, be and the same is
hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this llth day of June, 1963.

adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
