WILLIAMS, CITY C RESOLUTION NO. 63R- 488 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO BE MADE AND ENTERED INTO BETWEEN L. E. TRAVER, DOING BUSI- NESS AS ANAHEIM SECURITY PATROL, AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RELATING TO THE DEPUTIZING OF GUARDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECTING TRAFFIC ENTERING, LEAVING, AND TRAVERSING THAT PORTION OF BALL ROAD WHICH BORDERS THE MENASHA CORPORA- TION PROPERTY. WHEREAS, many employees and visitors of the Menasha Corporation enter and leave the Menasha Corporation property by way of Ball Road; and WHEREAS, Anaheim Security Patrol, owned and operated by L. E. Traver, doing business as Anaheim Security Patrol, is a security patrol duly licensed by the State of California; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to use Anaheim Security Patrol guards to direct traffic entering, leaving and traversing that portion of Ball Road which borders said Menasha Corporation prop- erty; and to have such guards deputized by the City of Anaheim as officers of the Anaheim Police Department for the purpose of in- vesting them with adequate and legal authority to direct traffic at that location; and WHEREAS, a form of agreement dated June 4, 1963, has this day been submitted to the City Council to be made and entered into between L. E. Traver, doing business as Anaheim Security Patrol, and the City of 1\naheim providing for the deputiz- ing of such guards and providing for adequate insurance coverage to protect the City against all claims for damage or injury arising by reason of any act, omission or neglect on the part of said Anaheim Security Patrol guards; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said agreement would be for the benefit and best interest of the City and should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to the City Council, dated June 4, 1963, to be made and entered into between the City and L. E. Traver, doing business as Anaheim Security Patrol, providing for the deputizing of guards to direct traffic entering, leaving and traversing that portion of Ball Road which borders the Menasha Corporation property located at 601 East Ball Road, in the City of Anaheim, upon the terms and conditions therein set forth, be and the same is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
