A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT AND RIGHT
OF WAY OVER THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PIPE LINE.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is desirous of acquiring
the hereinafter described real property for an easement and right
of way for a pipe line; and
WHEREAS, THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA, the owner of said property, has offered to grant to
the City of Anaheim, subject to the terms, covenants and condi-
tions set forth in a certain Grant of Easement dated April 25,
1963, this day tendered to the City, an easement and right of
way for construction, operation, maintenance, inspection, repair
and replacement of a pipe line, valves, equipment and appurte-
nances, as part of the water distribution system of the City,
upon, in, and over the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and best interest of the City to accept said offer
and acquire said property upon the terms and conditions set forth
in said Grant of Easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of THE METROPOLITAN WATER
DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, a Public Corporation of the State
of California, to grant to the City of Anaheim an easement and
right of way for the construction, operation, maintenance, inspec-
tion, repair and replacement of a pipe line, valves, equipment and
appurtenances, as a part of the water distribution system of the
City, upon, in and over the following described property:
The southerly five (5) feet of Lot 16 of Tract
No. 4644, situate in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, as des-
cribed in deed to District dated September 28,
1962, recorded October 25, 1962, in Book 6297,
page 250 of Official Records, in the office of
the Recorder, County of Orange, State of
California;
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Grant of Ease-
ment dated April 25, 1963,this day tendered to the City Council, be
and the same is hereby accepted, and that the City accept said
Grant of Easement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 28th day of May 1963.
