A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH LEONARD G.
AND DELOREZ M. SMITH FOR THE USE OF THE HEREIN
AFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is desirous of leasing
the hereinafter described property for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, LEONARD G. and DELOREZ M. SMITH, owners of
said property, have agreed to lease said premises to the City
from the date hereof until the 1st day of September, 1963, for
the sum of $1.00 and the agreement on the part of the City to
hold said owners harmless from any and all claims which might
arise from the use of said property by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and best interest of the City to lease said premises
upon such basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a Lease Agreement be made and entered
into by and between LEONARD G. and DELOREZ M. SMITH, as Lessors,
and the City of Anaheim, as Lessee, for the leasing of the prop-
erty described as 411 -415 South Claudina Street, Anaheim,
California, by the City of Anaheim, from the date hereof until
and including the 1st day of September, 1963, upon the following
conditions:
The City of Anaheim shall pay to the Lessors
the sum of $1.00 as consideration for said
use, and shall agree to hold said Lessors
harmless from any and all liability which
might arise by reason of the use of said
premises by the City from the date hereof
until and including the 1st day of
September, 1963.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Lease
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be,
and he is hereby, authorized to pay to said Lessors the sum of
$1.00.
